A short ShaderToy piece by Martijn Steinrucken (The Art of Code) that renders rain on a windshield during a night drive, with blurred bokeh lights. It is set to music.
Why Hacker News points people here: Shared as a stunning shader demo, with praise for its clear explanations of how it works.

What an awesome moody shader! The bar is high on shadertoy and there are some amazing shaders, but the aesthetic of this one is a rare gem. Here's the author's video of the shader, for anyone on a device that doesn't display the shader or play the audio: this video

Is there any description or attribution for the shader? Are the visuals an improved version of Martijn Steinrucken's "Drive Home" shader [1], or a different approach? This one does seem more dynamic with more detail, it looks pretty good, and I like how the big drops take out the small spray. [1] shader: link video: this video tutorial: link
