A two-minute Microsoft ad for Internet Explorer 10 in which a karaoke-style song addresses people who hate the browser. It is part of the "browser you loved to hate" campaign.
Why Hacker News points people here: Cited in threads about IE's reputation as an example of Microsoft's self-aware, funny advertising.

“Their newest ads are pretty awesome.”
Humorous IE10 ad as part of Microsoft's improved campaigns.

Their newest ads are pretty awesome. Surface's dancing ad link , the IE9 dubstep link , the IE10 troll this video , and the various Windows 8 international musical ads (the wave after the countdown ad) linklink and link are definitely a step way up from previous ad campaigns that Microsoft launched. All in all, the Windows 8 ads are IMO fresh, and definitely leaning more towards the younger adult hip side. And they're pulling it off pretty nicely.

Direct link to video for others who don't read TechCrunch: this video I don't hate IE, but for me to consider start using it, it would need to run on all major platforms and be open ala Chrome and Firefox. Otherwise, I don't see the point.

“We even do funny ads acknowledging how bad we were”
Microsoft ad acknowledging how bad IE used to be.

A few days ago, a Microsoft employee who has worked on Windows 7 and 8 said on a Reddit AMA: "There is no doubt that we have catching up to do. We even do funny ads acknowledging how bad we were: this video " They still know they're not perfect but they seem to think they're good enough already. I hope one day they learn to do things right.
