A three-minute scene from season 2, episode 4 of Silicon Valley in which Jared is excited after the company hires a woman engineer. It satirizes tokenism in tech hiring.
Why Hacker News points people here: HN commenters bring it up as a joke or shorthand in threads about diversity hiring and women in tech.
“Has anyone seen the scene from SV where Jared is excited after they hired a woman engineer?”
Has anyone seen the scene from SV where Jared is excited after they hired a woman engineer? And Jared expects her to be pals with Monica because both are female? I feel some of us men behave that way. :( link to clip: this video
