The official 4K upload of Michael Jackson's 14-minute short film Thriller, directed by John Landis. It is widely regarded as a landmark music video.
Why Hacker News points people here: HN mentions it only in passing, as an example of high-quality 4K video, a musical reference, or part of Quincy Jones's legacy.

Fascinating to me that you picked Thriller as an example, as MJ even demonstrates a 2&4 clap during the song. this video Curious what you mean by half the claps? Would this involve clapping only on every fourth beat, only on every second beat, or am I completely misunderstanding?

yah, I'm speaking of mostly TV productions, music videos, and that level of video material. We do have thriller in 4k, other productions too this video . Now those are interesting examples of digital cameras you provide above; definitely worth sharing and bringing to the table. Now that I think of it, I think video recordings existed in the 70s too? Like how exactly were TV shows broadcast anyways now that I think about it. The Abba remastered stuff is where my association got set link , that stuff is incredible.

He's the guy who produced this link "Yah mo Be there" here because it's one of my favourites and this this video (thriller-the best selling album of all time. Billie Jean etc. ALl Quincy. But he also did this link "Come fly with me" from "Sinatra at the Sands". Yes that arrangement was Quincy. and this link "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" Wait wut? Yes. Quincy. and this link Dinah Washington. "Mad about the boy". Yup. Quincy and "We are the world", and The brothers johnson and some stuff with Miles Davis and Sarah Vaughn and many many others. It's absolutely absurd that one person did that range of things.
