Satirist Ami Horowitz interviews people at UC Berkeley and in Harlem about whether voter ID laws suppress the black vote. It is a short Fox News segment contrasting responses from white liberals with those from black residents.
Why Hacker News points people here: Cited in political threads as a partisan example of how liberals view minority voters, with some commenters treating it as funny.

Voter ID is a good example of what you shared. The left pretends to champion minorities with their stance, but it's really a disdain and underlying racism against those groups: this video They think they can't use the internet, get to the DMV, obtain an ID, etc.

This argument seems like grasping me to. How would one function in society at all without an ID? Opening a bank account, cashing a check, driving a car, visiting a doctor, taking a train or plane, going to court. These are all activities which require ID. Sure, there is a tiny fraction of people who can't engage in those activities. But how likely is it that those folks are going to be voting, anyhow? I found this video pretty funny while searching around: this video

FYI, "IDs which most minorities don't have" is incorrect and it looks sort of racist. Here, the first third interviewing people at UC Berkeley with that idea and the remainder interviewing actual minorities: this video

>>I'm going to go out on a limb and say that these individuals are more qualified to make their own life choices than people on the internet who know nothing about their lives. At the risk of going down the partisan rabbit hole, this reminds me of the video segment where Ami Horowitz questioned people of liberal political persuasions on the ability of black voters to meet photo ID requirements, and then asked black Americans the same questions: this video

This is the silliest argument against voter ID laws ever, and should be retired. [0] [1] [2] [0] link [1] link [2] this video
