A Ryan George comedy sketch about the absurdities of shopping on Amazon, including nonsense brand names, fake reviews and scammy sellers.
Why Hacker News points people here: HN recommends it as a funny sketch that lays bare the crazy things people have gotten used to on Amazon.

"What Shopping On Amazon Feels Like" this video I saw this a few months ago and it really lays bare a lot of the crazy stuff we've just got used to with amazon
“it really highlights how unfriendly buying things at amazon has become”
Sketch showing how unfriendly Amazon shopping has become.
I've posted this before but I'll do it again because it really highlights how unfriendly buying things at amazon has become, slowly over time as meanwhile we barely noticed, like frogs being slowly boiled in water... What Shopping On Amazon Feels Like - Ryan George this video "roll the dice"
Comedy sketch about nonsense Amazon brand names.
Pretty interesting. Its odd Amazon allows this to happen, but I guess they have no incentives not to. Reminds me of this video from the Pitch Meeting YouTube guy: this video
Sketch about nonsense brand names on Amazon.
"Bugfree". The problem with "ZenTao" is that it's too close to a game (Zendo), Buddhism, and New Age hippies. The problem with "Sanplex" is it reads like it came from an algorithm for permuting English sylables to produce things that sound almost like they might be brands if it's not your first language, like all the suspicious vendors on Amazon for the last few years: this video The other problem with "Sanplex" is every fourth time I read it, my inner monologue vocalises "Spandex" instead.
Are these like real brands, or fake cookie cutter brands on Amazon? Amazon: "We're talking top brands here, like FLORGOO, REMPLOW, BARBENTRON, ZOLIMIO" Customer: "Those really dont sound like real companies, Amazon" Amazon: "But they kindof do though, you can see how those might be company names" Customer: "I guess?" > Brands like MZOO, YFONG, WAOAW popped up, and these seemed less like companies and more like vowel smoke ejected from a factory flue hole, then slotted into a distribution platform. Obligatory Ryan George video: this video
