A one-month review of the Xreal (formerly Nreal) Air AR glasses by The Tech Chap, covering unboxing, setup, what the display looks like, and how mixed reality differs from AR. It ends with the reviewer's overall thoughts. The video is sponsored.
Why Hacker News points people here: HN uses it as a concrete example of lightweight AR glasses that work as a monitor replacement, a more comfortable alternative to VR headsets.

Lighter, more comfortable monitor replacement approach than VR

> If the Quest Pro could replace my triple monitors, $1500 is a bargain. It's basically a laptop with 3 monitors that appear out of thin air whenever you want. Amazing. It won't. The form factor is still too clunky and you will most likely get eye strain. Btw, another commenter posted a link to these Nreal Air glasses (see this video ). I'd never heard of them before, but they look like a much better approach to a monitor replacement device. They're lighter and more comfortable because they try to do fewer things (no controllers, no battery, no VR).

Review of Nreal glasses for multi-desktop use

Nreal air AR glasses are seeming more useful and affordable ($380) for a multi-desktop experience. I am not keen on spending $1500 for the pro... probably going to wait until the resolution is better and other improvements. Here's a review of Nreal, on youtube: this video
