A CBC satire sketch in which a self-proclaimed thought leader gives a talk full of empty gestures and nothing-saying inspiration. It parodies TED-style conference talks.

Satire of the TED talk style

The style ended up being their signature, after burning through that content, leading up to this piece of satire: this video Though from a public speaking point of view, it's well worth studying (both actual TED talks and this satire) to help make legitimate talks more polished. There's an exchange of emotions that goes on during great talks, and that really helps drive home points. Once these talks became more about the delivery style than actual substance, it kinda devalued the whole TED branding.

I've seen a few good presentation given on TED. David Grady's talk [1] on meetings is one such example. This is just my opinion, but unless I can be assured a return on my investment, I am certain I can find better things to spend that kind of money on. On a lighter note, any time someone mentions TED talks, I am reminded of thought leader This is that. [2] [1] link [2] this video

Lol TED talks are a joke [0]. But depending on where one lives, better air quality may be inside or outside. The cleanest air I can breathe locally is in my grow room that is completely sealed except for a HEPA intake w/ same size exhaust that resupplies all new air per ~5 minutes, while I smoke my spliff, and it is very noticeable. I think I'm dumb for a lot of reasons but now I can add CO2 to the mix. [0] this video

"What if everybody in this room decided to come together and agree with what I'm saying? Let's look at a picture of the planet again. That is a world I want to live in." Had to quote a classic on Thought Leadership. this video
