I really enjoy working in an open plan office. The distractions don't really bother me and I appreciate the energy level going around. I obviously use headphones to cancel out noise when I need to focus, sometimes just playing white noise tracks or no sound at all ( this video is a personal favorite). Having a heavy distraction-oriented work flow forces you into a mode where you segment your tasks as atomically as possible, for example using the pomodoro technique. There are certainly times when a quiet space is necessary, and I will retreat away from my desk to a library or quiet corner where I'm not near people. I wonder how much of this is because I am young (24). My generation has grown up bombarded by distractions. So much so, in fact, that I find that there are equally many distractions inside of my computer as there are coming from the office plan.

Fun app. I made one, have a few suggestions: link 1. The song title is overlaying my screenshot, munging it all up. Suggest moving the title to the top bar or somewhere it won't mess up the screenshot/background (same with the comments box on the right). 2. Music played when I previewed it, but it's not playing after publishing. Not sure why. 3. Due to #2 I want to edit my creation and change from this 'song' (white noise actually): this video to this one: this video to test if one can play and the other can't. But I don't see a way to edit a creation.

>regarding #1: how about hiding them when you're idle? Would this work? (Just pushed an update, please check it) Just checked, good enough. >regarding #2: Is it still not playing? I visited that url link and it seems to be playing. By the way, is it still not playing? It seems to work on mine. Also, the two youtube links you mentioned seem to be the same, aren't they? Still not playing though. And sorry, the two youtube links are supposed to be different. One is 24hrs, one is 1.5hrs. Here they are again: this video (24hr) link (1.5hr)
