Footage of Stefani Germanotta, later Lady Gaga, performing 'Captivated' and 'Electric Kiss' at NYU's Ultraviolet Live talent show in 2005-era college days. It shows her singing and playing before she became famous.
Why Hacker News points people here: HN uses it to show that Lady Gaga is a genuinely skilled musician and writer of her own songs.

“she was so bluesy in the NYU talent show”
Bluesy early Lady Gaga performance
So true ... I don't really appreciate her current music (I mean like Brahms or Mozart), but she was so bluesy in the NYU talent show ( this video ). I could listen to music like that all day.
“she is also a phenomenal musician. Here's a video from before she was famous”
Pre-fame performance showing musicianship

“Lady Gaga (aka Stefani Germanotta) is actually an incredible musician.”
Early performance supporting her musical credentials
Lady Gaga (aka Stefani Germanotta) is actually an incredible musician. She studied at the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and was one of the few students given early admission at the age of 17. It's an ignorant jab to discredit anything popular as being without merit. Loads of people said Facebook was a just silly toy for college kids. this video
“This is a video of her performing an original composition in college”

Lady Gaga has chops and is a real artist. This is a video of her performing an original composition in college: this video
